We’re here to help

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death and disease in Australia. Infarcts and heart attacks are a leading cause of hospitalisation and death. One Australian has a heart attack every ten minutes. A cardiac negligence claim can be made following a misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of a cardiac condition. A negligence claim can also be made if the treatment you receive is incorrect or delayed.

When a person with cardiac or heart issues receives negligent medical care or treatment, the consequences can be dire – life threatening and life changing.

Cardiovascular disease includes the following:

  • coronary heart disease
  • cardiomyopathy
  • congenital heart disease
  • peripheral vascular disease and stroke.

Our health lawyers have handled many cardiac negligence cases including

  • misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of cardiac conditions, for example, heart attack symptoms in women can differ from heart attack symptoms in men so they can sometimes be harder to recognise
  • unreasonable delays in testing or acting on test results
  • unreasonable delays in the treatment for heart attack or other
  • incorrect prescription of cardiac medications
  • cardiac surgery errors.

We're here to help you.
