Aman Grewal

Dr Aman Grewal

Medico-Legal Associate

About Aman

Aman – with dual qualifications in medicine and law – is employed at the firm as a Medico-Legal Associate in our highly regarded Health & Medical Law team.

With a lengthy background in emergency medicine, intensive care and pre-hospital/retrieval medicine, he is able to determine very quickly whether client enquiries have merit and chart a course for the investigation of new matters. His transition from paramedic and clinician to solicitor has given him a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of medical negligence matters. By combining this clinical knowledge with legal expertise, Aman approaches each case with precision and insight, ensuring thorough assessments and efficient case management. His ability to bridge the gap between medicine and law streamlines the legal process, delivering faster and more effective outcomes for clients.

Prior to his admission as a legal practitioner in 2019, Aman had a distinguished career in the medical field – working as a medical practitioner, ambulance clinician and educator/manager and also served in the Royal Australian Air Force Reserves. His diverse clinical experience includes practice in the aged care sector and various emergency and intensive care settings.

Aman’s legal experience is equally broad, having worked as a plaintiff solicitor/locum solicitor in the ACT, South Australia, and NSW as well as a defendant solicitor for a large federal government department and at a community legal centre in Queensland. His academic credentials include a research scholarship-based Master of Law qualification, with a published book on ‘A Critical Review of Australia’s Regulatory Oversight For New Generation Personalised Medical Devices.’

Prior to joining the firm full time in 2025, Aman had worked as a consultant to Catherine Henry Lawyers for several years assisting with several complex medical negligence matters.

He is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and Russian, and has a strong understanding of Urdu and Ukrainian, allowing him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.

With deep interest and expertise in the intersection of law and medicine, Aman is known for his meticulous, thoughtful approach to each enquiry, a dedication to assisting clients come to terms with and understand what has happened and a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by medical and legal challenges.
