Recently, two Catherine Henry Lawyers’ staff members, Abbie Lincoln and Allara Blinco, were admitted as lawyers of the Supreme Court of NSW.
Our Principal, Catherine Henry, was there for the momentous occasion in the women’s’ lives and had the honour of moving Abbie’s submission. Our Relationship Law Solicitor Maryann Paterson moved Allara’s submission.
Catherine and Maryann congratulated both women for their dedication and wished them every future success.
“Regional areas of NSW need more lawyers, especially women lawyers,” Catherine said.
“Our firm is pleased to support smart female lawyers such as Abbie and Allara to build great careers in law while serving people in regional and rural areas,” she said.
Abbie works in the firm’s Health Law team including the practice areas of workers compensation and institutional abuse. She enjoys working in “people-focused” areas of law, and clients and colleagues appreciate her eye for detail and friendly, efficient approach. Completing a Juris Doctor/Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Newcastle enabled Abbie to be admitted as a lawyer. She also holds a Bachelor of Development Studies from the University of Newcastle. Volunteering at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre is another way Abbie gives back to her community and profession.
Allara works in the Relationship Law team including the practice areas of family law, elder law, wills & estates law, crime and conveyancing & leasing. She recently completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice to allow her to be admitted. Allara has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction majoring in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Newcastle. Passionate about what is just and women’s rights, Allara has a keen interest in how the law intersects with public policy.
