Catherine Henry Lawyers and its principal, Catherine Henry, have again been recognised in the prestigious Doyles Guide lists of NSW’s top medical negligence compensation lawyers and law firms.
Catherine was listed for the sixth year running as a recommended Leading Medical Negligence Compensation Lawyer (Plaintiff) for 2022. She is one of only three regional NSW lawyers to make this list of 16.
The firm also received the accolade of recommended Leading Medical Negligence Compensation Law Firm (Plaintiff) for 2022. Only eight firms made the list.
Catherine said making these prestigious lists, alongside well-known and established capital city firms and lawyers, is a credit to her expert health and medical law team.
“Our team is passionate about using the law to gain compensation and justice for people whose lives have been torn apart because of negligence by health professionals or hospitals and other healthcare facilities,” Catherine said.
“We strive to be the leading health law firm in regional NSW,” she said.
“As the NSW Parliament inquiry into regional, rural and remote healthcare and other reports show, people in regional NSW have poorer access to health services and poorer health outcomes than people living in capital cities.”
“They deserve and need to have access to quality health law services.”
“We are always looking to expand our range of health law services to meet clients’ needs.”
One of the major health law matters the firm is running is assisting women to take legal action against disgraced cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Blackstock. These clients are from regional NSW and capital cities. Some came to Catherine Henry Lawyers after other firms were not able to take on their case.
Catherine said helping clients make healthcare complaints or medical negligence claims also helps the healthcare system and healthcare practitioners improve professional standards of care.
