We’re proud to share an important update about the future of Catherine Henry Lawyers, and what it means for our clients.
From 27 January 2026, our team has officially joined Law Partners. This is a positive step forward for our firm, built on shared values, deep expertise, and a strong commitment to supporting people through difficult times.
What this means for our clients
If you’re a client of Catherine Henry Lawyers, the most important thing to know is that it’s business as usual.
You’ll continue working with the same trusted people who know your matter, with no interruption to your claim. What changes is the level of support behind the scenes, with access to the broader resources and experience of Law Partners.
This means we can continue to provide the same care and attention you expect, with even greater depth of support when it’s needed.
Continuing the work we’re known for
Since 2009, Catherine Henry Lawyers has focused on helping people through complex and often life-changing situations, particularly in medical negligence and institutional abuse matters.
Importantly, that work doesn’t change. What this step does is strengthen our ability to keep doing that work well with more resources, shared expertise, and a team that approaches client care in a very similar way to we do.
A natural fit in coming together
Joining Law Partners felt like the right step because of the strong cultural alignment between our teams.
Both firms are known for taking the time to understand each client’s situation properly, approaching every matter with care, attention and determination. That shared approach made this a natural fit for our clients and our people.
As Catherine Henry explains, “Law Partners shares our long-term dedication to compassionate, high-quality legal representation. Joining our teams means our clients continue to be supported by people they trust, while benefiting from greater resources and shared expertise. It also creates a strong future for our staff and for the communities we serve across Newcastle, the Hunter region and the NSW East Coast.”
Continuing leadership you can trust
Catherine Henry will continue in a senior leadership role within Law Partners, leading our existing team as part of their health law and medical negligence group. For our clients, that means continuity, familiarity, and the same commitment to strong advocacy moving forward.
Looking ahead
This is an important step for our firm, but what matters most hasn’t changed.
We’re still focused on listening carefully, understanding your situation, and working thoroughly to support you through what can be a very difficult time.
We’re proud of the work we’ve achieved together with our clients, our people and our community, and confident this next chapter will allow us to keep supporting you with the same care we’ve always demonstrated, backed by a broader and growing team.
