Rob Dilley

Solicitor and Team Leader of Relationship Law

About Rob

Rob and his team help clients across all areas of Relationship Law, including family law, elder law and wills and estate planning.

Rob works hard to get fair and just outcomes for his clients. He understands that family law matters can be stressful, overwhelming and confusing. Litigation can have a big impact on people – emotionally and financially. Getting matters settled favourably for his clients, without the expense and time of going to court, is his priority. But if it comes to court, he has extensive experience representing clients across various courts and tribunals. He is well-placed to help clients with complicated matters across overlapping jurisdictions.

Rob’s expertise allows him to assist clients across all aspects of Relationship Law, including:

  • family law including parenting arrangements, property settlements, child support, separation and divorce, relocation, spousal maintenance and family provision claims
  • elder law
  • wills and estate planning including power of attorney and guardianship matters
  • commercial law
  • property and leasing
  • debt and property disputes
  • general civil litigation
  • criminal law.

My favourite part of my job is getting a result for my client. Whether that be through settlement or through court proceedings, the best reward a lawyer can have is a satisfied client.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Newcastle. He placed first in his class in Human Rights Law. Before becoming a lawyer more than a decade ago, Rob was a manager within multicultural arts organisations. He says this eclectic and integrated experience of work, life and culture gives him a nuanced appreciation of life’s challenges – both in and out of legal processes.
