Catherine Henry Lawyers is uniquely placed to be able to assess whether you have a claim in negligence at the earliest possible time.
We are able to do this with the assistance of our in-house nurse who has a broad depth of clinical knowledge gained through many years of nursing experience.
Our in-house nurse is your first point of contact at Catherine Henry Lawyers when you take that first step of ringing to enquire about a medical or health claim. Alex Wilson helps our medical lawyers in triaging your enquiry.
Rather than going through a call centre, you will be given a time to speak to our in-house nurse. This can be done over a cup of tea in the office or by phone – recognising that many of our clients live right across NSW.
Our clients tell us that that first meeting is reassuring and affirming. Our in-house nurse shows great compassion and understanding when listening to your story. The following intake meeting is able to proceed with a full understanding of the clinical issues involved in your case and where the focus should be in moving forward to investigate your claim.
One of our health and medical lawyers will be allocated your matter and that lawyer will arrange a meeting with you to confirm the factual background, discuss a provisional case theory and advise you about the costs involved. This meeting with one of our health lawyers is conducted free of charge.
Taking the first step is the hardest part of the process.
Time limitations apply to all claims where injury has occurred including medical negligence claims. It is therefore wise to seek advice as soon as possible.
