Jessica Rea recognised as a ‘rising star’
One of our relationship law, elder law and wills and estates lawyers, Jessica Rea, has been recognised as a young gun shaping the growth and development of Australia’s legal sector.
Jessica has been named a finalist in the national Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards 2024 in the Wills and Estates category. She is the only Hunter-based lawyer to make the list.
The awards recognise lawyers who have demonstrated professional competency, a passion for law and a commitment to personal advancement. Achieving 30 Under 30 status is a huge feather in the cap of any emerging legal professional.
Jessica brings experience in commercial and estate law to assist our clients across regional NSW with tailored wills and estate plans that consider their personal and financial circumstances, family dynamics, and goals. She also handles estate administration, estate disputes and the establishment and management of trusts, prioritising the best interests of her clients at every stage of the process.
With a broader view of wealth and family dynamics, Jessica considers things outside of typical estate and succession planning. This understanding benefits clients that she helps in our elder law practice in relation to matters such as capacity documents and elder abuse.
Her client focused approach was evident when she took on the role of lead author for our most recent community resource – Growing Older. The free eBook takes people through the many ways that the law can help them protect their interests and wishes so they may grow old gracefully, happily, financially strong and with dignity.
This award nomination follows Jessica being named Hunter Young Professionals’ Most Valuable Professional in September 2023.
Jessica is completing a Master of Applied Law majoring in Wills and Estates.
The award winners will be announced in Sydney on March 7.
